The 411 • Session II Is Underway!

What a way to kick off Session II!

Camp officially came back to life today as campers arrived ready for another unforgettable week at Manitowa. With beautiful weather, smiling faces, and excitement from the very first bus and car, there was an incredible energy throughout camp from start to finish.

It was especially exciting to welcome back so many returning campers while introducing first-time campers to the traditions, friendships, and magic that make Camp Manitowa so special.

One of the best parts of opening day? Watching friendships begin almost instantly. Throughout the day, campers were inviting new friends to join them, helping cabinmates unpack, introducing themselves to one another, and already building the welcoming community that defines Manitowa.

First Day Highlights

  • ✅ Swim tests completed
  • ❤️ Health Center nurse check-ins
  • 🧭 Camp tours and orientation
  • 🏕️ Cabins unpacked and settled in
  • 📸 Cabin photos (now available on Facebook!)
  • 🔥 Opening Campfire with songs, laughter, camp spirit, and plenty of s’mores

There’s something truly special about gathering around the campfire on the very first night. Hearing hundreds of campers singing together, sharing laughs, and beginning a brand-new session is a reminder of why summers at Manitowa are so memorable.

We’re officially off and running, and this is just the beginning. With activities, adventures, traditions, and countless memories still ahead, Session II is shaping up to be another incredible week.
