Rend Lake Beaches are Open for the Summer!
Rend Lake beaches opened this weekend… which around here feels like the unofficial start of summer.
For Camp Manitowa guests staying in our cabins and Airbnbs, that means easy access to local beaches just minutes away — perfect for a quick swim, beach afternoon, or sunset stop after a day on property.
It also means we’re getting closer to one of our favorite summer traditions: Rend Lake Beach Day. Throughout the summer, campers load into our tie-dye buses and head to the lake for a day of sand, swimming, games, and classic summer memories.
Summer around Southern Illinois just hits different. We’re ready for it.
