Manitowa Magic in Full Swing as Week Two Begins
One week down, and Camp Manitowa has officially found its summer rhythm.
As Week Two of Summer 2026 begins, camp is buzzing.
Friendships are growing. Campers are trying new activities. Skills are being mastered, hidden talents are being discovered, and a little healthy competition is making its way across camp.
Most importantly, campers are becoming more comfortable, confident, and empowered with each passing day.
“The energy around camp has been incredible,” said Program Director Dylan Brown. “It has been so much fun watching friendships grow, campers try new activities, and everyone become more familiar and empowered each day. The Manitowa magic is definitely in full swing.”
From Outdoor Living Skills and Arts & Crafts to activities across camp, the first week has been filled with new experiences and nonstop laughter. Campers have settled into their routines, counselors have found their groove, and Benton is beginning to feel like the center of the universe again.
Spirit Cup Is Coming
Tomorrow, one of Camp Manitowa’s favorite traditions returns.

This year’s theme: Cereal Mascots.
The competition officially begins after lunch, when camp will transform into a world of colorful costumes, team spirit, and spirited competition. Families can expect plenty of evidence from the day’s festivities in tomorrow night’s photo album.
Until then, the theme remains a secret.

Adventure Awaits in the Smokies
Week Two also marks the beginning of a major adventure for our ninth-grade campers, who depart tomorrow for the Great Smoky Mountains.
The trip gives our oldest campers an opportunity to take the Manitowa experience beyond Benton—exploring the outdoors, challenging themselves, and making memories together on the road.
