For over 13 years, Camp Manitowa has offered an unforgettable Tennessee Smoky Mountains adventure for campers entering 9th grade.
Campers meet at Manitowa, tie-dye special trip shirts, pack their gear, and hit the road. The week includes kayaking at Ijams Nature Center, zip lining at Navitat, hiking in the Smokies, cliff jumping, camping under the stars, cooking meals together, and finishing with an epic whitewater rafting trip on the Ocoee River.
This one-of-a-kind experience builds resilience, deep friendships, and a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors.

OUR PROGRAM
We partner with locally based professional outfitters and experts who work alongside our Camp Manitowa–trained trip staff to provide a safe, high-quality, and unforgettable adventure.
Campers meet at Camp Manitowa on Sunday, tie-dye their special Smoky Mountain T-shirts, pack their gear and food, and hit the road early Monday morning. The first stop is Ijams Nature Center in Knoxville for kayaking, followed by zip lining at Navitat.
The next few days include incredible hikes in the Smokies, cliff jumping, camping under the stars, cooking meals together, and wrapping up with an epic whitewater rafting trip on the Ocoee River with Ocoee Adventure Center.
