FOOD

Food is a big part of camp — after all, you eat every day!

We offer balanced, kid-friendly meals in a nut-free environment. Because of our small size, we’re able to accommodate nearly all food allergies and dietary needs.

We partner with the Benton Farmers Market to source fresh produce, and each summer we hire a professional chef who thoughtfully prepares meals that are both nourishing and delicious. We focus on mindful eating, teaching campers to fuel their bodies while minimizing waste.

At Camp Manitowa, no one goes hungry.

MEDICAL

Our Health Center is staffed by a licensed registered nurse experienced in both school and camp nursing. All medications are dispensed as prescribed, and campers receive attentive care if they are ill or injured.

Parents are notified if a camper stays overnight in the Health Center, requires prescription medication, or needs to see a specialist. Camp Manitowa is located just five minutes from Franklin Hospital in Benton.

Parents are always welcome to connect with our nurse before camp begins and throughout their child’s stay.
