Opening the Basement Attic Archives

Every camp has stories.

At Camp Manitowa, those stories live in photo albums, old camp schedules, worn-in t-shirts, and the memories of generations who have passed through the grounds.

The Basement Attic Archives is our effort to collect and preserve that history.

Inside the archives you’ll find:

  • Vintage camp photos
  • Old program guides and schedules
  • Posters and memorabilia
  • Stories from campers, counselors, and staff
  • Snapshots of Manitowa life through the decades

Some artifacts were discovered in boxes tucked away in the basement. Others were pulled from dusty corners of the attic.

Together they form the growing digital collection known as the Basement Attic Archives.

It’s part time capsule, part storytelling project, and part reminder that the spirit of camp lives far beyond a single summer.

If you have photos, memories, or pieces of Manitowa history, we’d love to include them.

The archive is always expanding.
